In memory of someone special
There are many ways you can help South East Cancer Help Centre’s work in someone's memory:
- You can donate and write a message in our memory book
- You can give a gift to mark special dates or occasions during the year
- Organise a collection in someone's name
- Create an on-going giving fund for someone
And if there's anything else that you're thinking about, please do get in touch and we'll do all we can to help.
We want to help you to support our work in your loved one's name in a way that's right for you and that will help people affected by cancer.
This is an amazing way to honour someone's memory and do something wonderful in their name.
Memory Book
When you make a donation to South East Cancer Help Centre Ltd in memory of a loved one, you can choose to leave a special message of dedication that will be displayed on our online memory book page.
Here you can share with others what your loved one meant to you.
Funeral and memorial collections
At funerals or memorial services, many people choose to give donations to a cause close to their loved one's heart, perhaps in lieu of flowers.
If you're holding a service for your loved one, you could make a collection at the service to support South East Cancer Help Centre Ltd.
Collection Envelopes
We have special envelopes for the occasion, which you can order by contacting us at the details below. Just let us know the following:
- how many envelopes you need
- date of your service
- address to send the envelopes to
- name of the person the collection is honouring
- contact details for acknowledgements
- any other information to help us to meet your needs

How to use the collection Envelopes
The envelopes may be used in a number of ways, perhaps placed on seats before the service or available for people to collect on their way into or out of the venue.
People generally appreciate some guidance as to when they should complete their donations and where to hand them in, so we suggest someone is responsible for announcing this, and you could also mention it in the order of service.
Further contributions
There are likely to be people who would love to contribute to your collection but are unable to come to the service. It can be a comfort to them to be able to participate and be part of the occasion in a small way.
To ensure their donation is recognised as part of the collection, you can ask anyone contributing separately to say whom the donation is in memory of.
Online collection
A Tribute Fund is another way that might help.
You could set up a Tribute Fund here simply for the collection.
This would allow you to see donations immediately, see messages celebrating the person being remembered and help ensure all donations are recognised correctly. It also allows people anywhere in the world to contribute.
There's no obligation with a Tribute Fund - it's a facility there for you to use as you wish.
Alternatively, a single donation can be made online, allowing you to leave a message on the memory book.
