There are lots of ways you can support our fundraising team.  If you have a couple of hours to spare and would like to make a difference please get in touch. Here are some ways you can get involved.

Become a Collection Box Co-ordinator

Do you have a spare couple of hours a month? If so, we want to hear from you! We are looking for an individual or group to help us co-ordinate a number of collection boxes within the Purley area. Local shops, pubs, restaurants and businesses are all the places we would like to see our collection boxes in. All that is needed is for you to co-ordinate the delivery and replenishment of the collection boxes within the community.

Step out and be an Ambassador

Our Community Ambassadors go out and about giving talks about South East Cancer Help Centre in their communities. We provide lots of information and statistics for our ambassadors to let people in their local communities know who we are and what we do. It's a role for someone organised and enthusiastic as it is up to ambassadors to make local contacts and arrange speaking commitments.

Work from home as a Researcher

Could you use your computer skills to conduct research, to support your local community fundraising team? This role will involve working from home using your own computer/internet and researching into local fundraising prospects and opportunities.

Organise your own event

Why not invite some friends round for a coffee morning?  Ask them to each bring an unwanted item of clothing and make it a clothes swap.  We can help you with ideas for organising an event at a time that suits you.

Set up a fundraising group

Fundraising groups are a vital support to our Centre.  Setting up a group can be one of the most rewarding ways to fundraise because it brings people together who all share a passion for helping make a difference.  Many long lasting friendships are made this way and groups can become a great source of support as well as a huge asset to the charity.

Organise a Collection in your local area

Get a few friends together to do a collection at your local store, church, racecourse or station.  Why not have a get together afterwards to celebrate your acheivement and make it an annual event.  It could be to mark a special occasion or to raise awareness on a special day like World Cancer Day.  We can provide you with everything you need to make your day a success.

Help at a SECHC event

Thanks to our supporters and volunteers our Centre events have become very successful.  We are always looking for more support and an extra pair of hands can make all the difference.  There are numerous roles from setting up and preparing food to selling and folding raffle tickets.  Every job is as valuable as the next.
