Aromatherapy

What is aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is the controlled use of "essential oils", the natural extracts of aromatic plants and flowers, to help promote balance or harmony in the mind and body.
The therapeutic value of essential oils has been recognised since ancient Egyptian times and used across many cultures.
Having aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is safe, unhurried and calming. The therapist, after a detailed consultation, will carefully choose a blend of oils with you. The oils will be used in a very dilute form, taking into consideration any symptoms you may have, your treatment, and any side effects caused by it.
Our aromatherapy sessions are limited to 40 minutes which includes consultation time at the first appointment. We will endeavour to offer a course of 4 sessions initially. Further appointments may be made following this or you may go onto a rota - thus enabling us to keep a few spaces free for emergencies. Please do not hesitate to contact the Centre Manger should you feel that you are in need of an urgent appointment.
