My Story

Raj's Story

Rajesh Sharma was diagnosed with a soft tissue sarcoma also, known as gastrointestinal cancer at the age of 44. After thinking there was no hope left, he began a new drug trial in 2001, and has been on it ever since! Raj says, "I suspected that something was wrong, but I was too busy to see a doctor.

Manuela's Story

Even whilst going through Chemotherapy I was already thinking about what I'm going to do once I'm better...so there I was, two years after finishing Chemo and Radiotherapy, cycling from London to Paris.

Francis' Story

Just after Christmas 2005 I had a routine blood test because of my diabetes. As a result of that blood test, my GP told me that I had a raised PSA and sent me to see Mr Gary Das, a consultant at Mayday University Hospital.

Roland's Story

I had been diagnosed with prostate cancer back in October 2006. This was a very traumatic time for me. My way of dealing with this was through Reiki. It was purely by chance that I decided to try hypnotherapy.

Catherine's Story

In 1978, a week before my sixteenth birthday, I was told that I had Hodgkins Disease. For the next three years I received the very best treatment available but needless-to-say I went through some very hard times. In those days there weren’t effective anti-sickness drugs, CT machines were few and far between and complementary therapies were only found in fairy tales.
