Doug Constable, brother of Jim Constable, one of our long-standing volunteers who sadly died last year, visited the Centre with his wife, Jim’s wife Val, his daughter and grandchildren to present us with a cheque for £1,600 in memory of Jim.
The Centre has now produced a DVD of the services and facilities available to help prospective clients to find out a bit more about the Centre. The video is also hosted on Youtube if you would like to see it.
In 1999 my wife Tracey was diagnosed with breast cancer she died in August 2001. During this very difficult period the South East Cancer Help Center was able to provide advice and support to Tracey, myself and our daughter Bethany (5 years old at the time) . I have always had it in my mind to do something to thank the Centre and in aid of breast cancer research but wanted to do something slightly different.
From 4th June Julie Ilett is offering new sessions in a combination of guided visualisation and aromatherapy. Julie has worked in the Centre for a long time providing aromatherapy and reflexology. She has recently been studying hypnotherapy and is offering this combination of the techniques to increase the relaxation benefits.
Contact the Centre for more information or to book a session.
Another successful year's Easter Fair has raised an impressive £947.93 for the centre in just two hours!!
'Congratulations!' and 'Well Done!' to all of you who put in a lot of hard work, effort and dedication in organising this fair. Special thanks goes to Frances and Rose who stood outside for two hours, bracing the chilly winds, selling raffle tickets and inviting passers by with a warm smile!
