As part of our Outreach programme, therapists and staff from the Centre visited the Croydon BME (Black & Minority Ethnic) Forum in Thornton Heath. This is an umbrella group for many other Ethnic Minority organisations in Croydon.
The Macmillan sponsored Citizens Advice service has expanded and we now provide sessions by appointment in the Centre at Purley as well as Mayday Hospital.
Doug Constable, brother of Jim Constable, one of our long-standing volunteers who sadly died last year, visited the Centre with his wife, Jim’s wife Val, his daughter and grandchildren to present us with a cheque for £1,600 in memory of Jim.
We have a number of new activities and, in order to create more space, we have created a fourth therapy room. Other changes include the use of the newly decorated and re-furnished downstairs entrance as a Reception area.
The Centre has now produced a DVD of the services and facilities available to help prospective clients to find out a bit more about the Centre. The video is also hosted on Youtube if you would like to see it.
