On Friday, 23rd October ’09 - our charming fundraiser, Geoff Down, normally known for fundraising an ENORMOUS amount every year to keep the Centre going, went beyond his call of duty to raise more funds with a quizzical ‘fish-n-chips’ night! A man of multi-talents, Geoff donned a different hat that night - that of a ‘Quiz Master’, with wife, Jane Down by his side as his Score Mistress!
 
Over 50 people participated and felt thoroughly ‘brain stimulated’ that evening. There was a lot of head scratching;  a fair bit of reaching out to one’s brain cells trying to recollect answers correctly and in a jiffy!! Participants ranged from 17 - 75 years.

Winners of the day comprised of Jean + hubby, Bev + family (Volunteer Receptionists ) and Nick (Volunteer Co-ordinator) - Congratulations and well done Team 4! Commiserations to Team 6! The fish and chips were yummylicious but the questions were even better!! Around £317 pounds was raised from this event.

Well done Geoff! We are counting down days to next years quiz already......
