Five young people recently came to visit the SECHC from St. Andrews School in Waddon. Part of their school project involved researching a local charity and as they had chosen SECHC they wanted to know more about us. The students also met up with our Centre Manager who answered all their questions ranging from the obvious i.e. "How does the Centre operate?" to the unknown i.e. "If I eat lots of green vegetables, will it prevent me from getting cancer?" Needless to say, the visit had raised their awareness along with triggering curiosity about preventive measures.

After their visit to the Centre, the group will be doing a presentation about their chosen charity, along with other teams, to a panel of judges. The winning team’s chosen charity will be awarded £3000.

We welcomed the presence of the the youngsters; it helps to spread awareness about the Centre and our work.

We are awaiting the results but needless to say, if we win, news will follow on our website soon......
